The Machiavelli
school of Italian for foreigners was founded in 1978 in response to the growing world-wide interest in
Italian language and culture. It is situated in one of the most beautiful piazzas in the historical
centre of Florence, Italy and is specialised in method research for the learning of
Italian as a second language, in the organisation of language and cultural exchanges called "
Tandem", in
language and singing courses for opera lovers and singers, in
artisan art and craft courses in the workshops of the Florentine artists and craftsmen and in courses, apprenticeships and
workshops of Italian cooking.

L’école d’italien pour Etrangers “Machiavelli” est née en 1978 pour apporter la juste réponse à l’intérêt croissant qui s’est manifesté dans le monde pour la
langue et la culture italienne. Elle est située sur l’une des plus belles places du
centre historique de Florence et est spécialisée dans la recherche méthodologique pour l’apprentissage de
l’italien comme deuxième langue, dans l’organisation de programme d’inter-échange linguistique culturel appelé “
Tandem”, dans les
cours de langue et de
chant pour passionnés d’opéra et de chanteurs, dans les
cours d’art et d’artisanat dans des études et ateliers d’artistes et artisans florentins, dans des cours, stages et

Italienisch-Sprachschule für Ausländer “Machiavelli” wurde 1978 gegründet, um dem wachsenden Interesse an der
italienischen Sprache und Kultur entgegen zu kommen. Die Schule liegt an einem der schönsten Plätze in der historischen
Altstadt von Florenz und ist spezialisiert auf die methodologische Arbeit in Bezug auf den Unterricht von
Italienisch als Fremdsprache; ebenso organisiert sie so genannte “
Tandem” Sprach- und Kulturaustauschprogramme, Sprach- und
